Our heart and goal here at Lake Deerwood Fellowship
is to affect this area and the world for the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Everything that Christ did was personal. The very act of God
becoming a man was as personal as it gets. When reading scripture it
is clear that not only was Christ personal- but intimate. He came in
physical contact with those who had not have not been touched for a
majority of their lives. He looked into the eyes of people and felt
their pain, their sorrows, but pointed towards their hope- hope in
Him. Christ was never just the head of the church- when He walked
the Earth he was the church. He was the embodiment of all that the
church was. HE brought the church with Him. Did he go to the temple?
Yes. Scripture tells us time and time again he was teaching in the
temples. As a child he was lost only to be found asking questions
that astounded the holy men of the temple. But was the temple the
center of His ministry?
Most every miracle I have noticed happened not in the
temple- but out among the people- out in the streets. The majority
of His ministry was spent in the streets, in homes, in areas where
the “church” would have never thought of conducting business.
Scripture even stops to tell us that God no longer lives just in the
temple- but that each of us are the temple for the living God. To
that end, there are many outreach ministries that go beyond the four
walls of the church to reach out to those who may not know Jesus
Christ as Lord. Our outreach ministries include street evangelism,
mission service projects, helps ministries and many other avenues to
promote the gospel.
Our community outreach is designed for participation
by people of all ages to demonstrate the love of God by touching our
communities in practical ways. We have a variety of ongoing and
seasonal outreaches that are open for our congregation to take part
in. We hope you will browse through the ministries described in this
section and be encouraged that so many needs are being met.

The Recovery Fellowship
The Recovery Fellowship is a Christ-centered program that provides
men and women a safe place to share their hurts, habits and hang-ups
with others in an atmosphere of worship, community and scripture.

exchange the struggles in your life for the abundant life that
Christ came to bring to us all... |
